Massimo Castagna’s contemporary interpretation of luxury … from Italy of course!

  • Tuesday, January 22, 2013

  • The smoking hot “Side-L” cabinet comes to us from Henge, a small, couture-manufacturing studio located about 1 ½  hours north of Venice.  Here all the furniture designed by maestro Massimo Castagna is made by hand in one of the last bastions of the truly “Made in Italy” concept.

Castagna designed this cabinet that includes several heat-treated woods including eucalyptus, acacia, chestnut, oak, as well as burnished brass, leather and LED illumination.  His is a piece of masterful cabinetry blended with contemporary luxury that is FAR from being stuffy or useless.  Can’t you see it in a bedroom, living room or even dining room?

And while it could be too presumptuous to call it an “iconic” piece, it IS a cabinet worthy of a design collector or anybody with a heightened sensibility for the pleasures of a well-appointed home.
