My 5 favorite gardens in France

  • Tuesday, September 4, 2012

  • It is no surprise that the loveliest gardens in France are part of large Chateaux or grand Estates.  And today’s feature takes you from the medieval gardens of Château Gourdon, on to the 16th century castle of Chenonceau, through the 17th century castles of Ballue and Vaux-le-Vicomte and on to the Belle Époque 20th century villa of the French Rothschilds in Cap Ferrat.  So see, not all of me is modern and severe ... I do have a romantic side to my aesthetic ... however tiny!!!
