Late last week I was surfing the web, trying to get inspired
and alas, I landed on a wonderful new online store called art1, the brainchild
of art enthusiast Judy Finch. From what
I can see, Judy deals mostly in midcentury and postwar objets and design. What was nice to see was her consistent good
eye in inventory selection!
One piece that jumped off the page and had me smiling was
this colorful chair by Gastone Rinaldi. I don’t know anything about him and
therefore I’m relying on Judy for the attribution. But who cares who made it. The 1970s lounge chair in faux leather and
patinated steel legs rocks … and sometimes that’s all that matters!!!
